Acıbadem City Clinic Cardiovascular Center is a JCI accredited hospital in Sofia and one of the most comprehensive hospitals for treatment of cardiovascular diseases, equipped with the latest state-of-the-art infrastructure. Acıbadem City Clinic Cardiovascular Center is also a teaching hospital of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridksi” and Medical University in Varna and brings high quality care, education and research.

The hospital has opened its doors in 2012 as a part of City Clinic Group - an important member of healthcare sector in Bulgaria.

In 2016, with the acquisition of City Clinic and Tokuda by Acıbadem Healthcare Group, Acıbadem City Clinic Cardiovascular Center started collaborating internationally with Acıbadem Hospitals in 5 countries. This has led to the achievement of scientific results at a high level and, in particular, to the development and integration of scientific research, treatment and training, all aimed to provide excellence in healthcare. 

4000 m² Closed Area

The 4.000 square-meter hospital building is situated at the South part of the Sofia Ring Road. The hospital has 64 beds and 5 operating rooms, two of which are dedicated to heart surgery. The remaining two are for general purposes and are currently used primarily for vascular surgery. The hospital has a modern ICU (Intensive Care Unit) infrastructure with the latest state-of-the-art technology. The unit has a total of 20 intensive care beds, 14 of which are for CVC and 6 of which are for coronary care.

Acıbadem City Clinic Cardiovascular Center has 2 fully-equipped catheterization laboratories. The interventional (minimally invasive) procedures are the main differentiating characteristics of the Cardiovascular Center. The hospital provides a wide range of interventional procedures.

Medical Specialties

Acıbadem City Clinic Cardiovascular Center provides a range of outpatient and inpatient services with a focus on cardio-vascular diseases including cardiology and vascular medicine (Clinical Cardiology, Vascular Medicine, Interventional Cardiology, Electrophysiology and Pacing), Angiology and Phlebology, Cardiac Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Medical Imaging, Neurology, Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care.

Acıbadem City Clinic Cardiovascular Center employs more than 350 people, of which approximately 120 are physicians. The Center allows a high degree of multi-disciplinary collaboration among the various clinical specialties.

The hospital’s award-winning cardiac and vascular teams provide multi-disciplinary care for patients. The team consists of endovascular specialists, invasive cardiologists, electrophysiologists, angiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, cardiovascular surgeons, nurse practitioners, cardiac nurses, and pharmacists.

The hospital also provides outpatient services through the latest diagnostics and treatment methods in the following departments: Dermatology, Gastroenterology, Neurology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Opthtalmology, Pediatrics, Pulmonology and Urology.
